Meet the Leaders at Merraine: Dina Ufberg, Partner and Chief Operating Officer

At the heart of Merraine Group’s continued growth and innovation is Dina Ufberg, an entrepreneur, investor, and operator with a deep passion for building organizations that create lasting impact. With over 14 years of experience spanning venture capital, technology, and operations, Dina brings a rare combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution to her role as Partner and Chief Operating Officer.

Dina’s career began in venture capital at Jerusalem Venture Partners, where she learned to blend financial discipline with creative problem-solving. She later joined EY’s Foundry, a corporate venture group she helped build from the ground up, before going on to lead operations at several high-growth SaaS companies transforming industries from real estate and fintech to media and gaming.

Her entrepreneurial drive led her to co-found HelloRented (now Qira), a PropTech platform that reimagined how renters and property owners manage financial risk. She also served as Chief Operating Officer of a Munich Re Ventures portfolio company, where she helped guide the business through a successful Series A. Across her ventures, Dina has helped raise more than $50 million in capital and built a reputation for scaling teams, driving performance, and executing with precision.

In 2023, Dina joined forces with Kass and Mike Lazerow, becoming Partner and COO of Merraine Group, one of the nation’s leading executive search firms in healthcare, education, and nonprofit leadership. Her vision for Merraine builds on the firm’s 20-year legacy of mission-driven search while infusing it with the operational excellence and innovation mindset that has defined her career.

Following October 7th, Dina co-founded Startup Reserve for Israel, a global initiative mobilizing talent and resources to sustain Israel’s startup ecosystem during a time of national crisis. It’s one example of her belief that leadership is about action, purpose, and community.

A Fulbright Scholar, Dina earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She and her husband—whom she met at University of Michigan Hillel—live with their family in New York City.

Dina is passionate about mentorship and leadership development, working closely with students and emerging professionals on career growth, networking strategy, and women’s leadership. Her approach to leadership is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and an unwavering belief that organizations thrive when they balance vision with execution.
