OVERVIEW

A respected human services organization is seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day management of a growing family services program. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across administrative functions, financial oversight, facilities management, compliance, and program support. The Operations Director serves as a key partner to executive leadership, providing the internal infrastructure and operational discipline necessary to support high-quality service delivery and organizational growth.
The successful candidate will bring strong organizational leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening systems, supporting staff, and helping ensure that children and families receive effective and responsive services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in operations, administration, or organizational management.
  • Experience managing budgets, operational systems, and organizational processes.
  • Demonstrated success supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership
  • Provide oversight and coordination of daily operations to ensure programs and services are delivered effectively and in alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and values.
  • Maintain responsibility for office operations, administrative systems, technology, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained through proactive management of repairs, maintenance, and operational needs.
  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and risk management practices.
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Monitor organizational and program budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare operational and financial reports for executive leadership and governing boards.
Program Operations & Compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership to support the development, launch, and implementation of new programs and services.
  • Ensure operational systems, staffing resources, and infrastructure are in place to support program success.
  • Coordinate program evaluation efforts, outcome measurement, and client satisfaction initiatives.
  • Support grant-funded programs by monitoring operational deliverables, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
