OVERVIEW

An established, high-performing healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join its cardiovascular diagnostic team. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care by performing high-quality echocardiographic studies that support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate is committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and delivering compassionate care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Eligible to obtain professional registry credentials within 12 months of employment if not already credentialed.
Preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
  • Prior experience performing echocardiographic studies in a hospital or clinical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform echocardiogram examinations in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and industry standards.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images to assist physicians in evaluating cardiac conditions.
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and quality control of ultrasound equipment to support uninterrupted patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety regulations, infection prevention standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information within applicable systems.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and annual training related to safety, emergency response, and regulatory requirements.
