OVERVIEW

An established, nationally recognized pediatric healthcare system is seeking an experienced Value Analysis Nurse to bridge clinical practice and supply chain strategy. This highly collaborative role is ideal for a registered nurse with operating room or acute care experience who is passionate about improving patient outcomes while optimizing product utilization and reducing costs. Working alongside physicians, nursing leadership, finance, and supply chain teams, you will lead value analysis initiatives that support evidence-based purchasing decisions, product standardization, and operational excellence across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or eligibility for multistate licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
  • At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience with medical supplies, supply chain operations, value analysis, or cost-benefit evaluation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • Operating Room (OR) or perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Pediatric acute care experience preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP), CNOR, CCRN, or other relevant credentials.
  • Experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), vendor management, and healthcare contracting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead value analysis projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with clinical, surgical, finance, and supply chain leaders to evaluate new products, technologies, and services.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary value analysis committee meetings and guide product review processes.
  • Analyze clinical evidence, product performance, utilization trends, and financial data to support purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate product trials, evaluations, and conversions while ensuring objective and standardized assessment processes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce product variation, improve standardization, and achieve cost savings without compromising patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and frontline clinicians to build consensus around product selection and utilization.
  • Evaluate procedural trays, kits, disposable versus reusable products, and alternative solutions for cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with finance leadership to model the financial impact of proposed product and process changes.
  • Collaborate with risk management on product recalls and ensure timely identification and removal of affected items.
  • Educate clinical staff on new products, product conversions, product substitutions, and best practices for appropriate product utilization.
  • Stay current on evidence-based clinical literature, healthcare supply chain trends, and emerging technologies.
