OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Analyst with a strong background in HR benefits administration and payroll processes. This role is designed for someone who can immediately step in and make a significant impact by leveraging advanced Excel skills to analyze, reconcile, and optimize benefits programs. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of benefits procedures, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, and have the expertise to implement creative solutions that enhance our Total Rewards initiatives.

This position offers the opportunity to make a significant and immediate impact within our HR Total Rewards team by driving process improvements and ensuring the effective delivery of our benefits programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in HR or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CEBS, InFRE, or equivalent employee benefit certification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in HR benefits administration, payroll processes, and pay practices, with a preference for four or more years of experience.
  • Proven ability to step in and make an immediate impact by applying advanced Excel skills to complex benefits analysis and reconciliation tasks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering insights and summaries of benefit plan status and activities to management and colleagues.
  • A high level of discretion and judgment in handling sensitive information.

Competencies:
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access, with a demonstrated ability to create detailed analytical reports and reconciliation reviews.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits programs, including experience working with external vendors, consultants, and brokers.
  • Ability to provide counsel to employees and families on their benefits offerings, especially during transitional moments such as life events or retirement.
  • A collaborative approach to working with professional service providers involved in benefits administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to generate accurate and detailed analytical reports, reconciliations, and reviews for various benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, disability, time off, retirement, and compensation offerings.
  • Step in to provide immediate support to the HR Total Rewards team by reviewing, improving, and implementing processes, programs, and policies with a fresh perspective.
  • Partner with the compensation team to support Total Rewards initiatives and devise innovative solutions for future benefits improvements.
  • Develop both short-term and long-term strategic roadmaps for benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Administer and reconcile ongoing benefits programs, providing project support to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Create and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to colleagues on benefits processes and best practices.
