COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a quality Jewish education. Operating across seven states in the U.S., this organization advocates for equitable government funding and resources for yeshivas and Jewish day schools, making Jewish education accessible to all families.  

OVERVIEW

The Director will be responsible for cultivating relationships and increasing the financial commitments of existing Teach supporters in the $1,800 – $25,000 donor range, as well as inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. A successful Director has a proven track record in sales, client relations, fundraising, or a similar field.
The Director is also responsible for growing a strong grassroots movement focused on advocacy and voting. As part of a growing community engagement team, the Director will be supported by the state and national office.
This is a Hybrid position and reports to the Southern Director. The office is in Hollywood, FL. Applicants must live in Boca Raton or Palm Beach County.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, fundraising, or a related field with a proven track record of exceeding goals.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to initiate and maintain relationships, projects, and events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Connections to the Boca Raton and Palm Beach Jewish communities and schools.
  • Commitment to Jewish education and advocacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and execute a plan to increase community engagement and grow revenue through solicitations, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
  • Build and maintain strong donor relationships to inspire increased investment.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit new donors.
  • Meet quarterly and annual fundraising goals.
  • Recruit and develop lay leadership for leadership roles.
  • Provide updates that inspire involvement in policy and advocacy work.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including communications and meeting logs.
  • Engage community members in advocacy activities such as action alerts, voting, events, and other initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at community events and forums.
