COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The employer is a 250-bed not-for-profit community hospital offering a continuum of specialized health programs and services, including an accredited Heart and Vascular Center. The hospital operates acute care, urgent care facilities, and employs a large physician network.

OVERVIEW

The Director of Respiratory Care is responsible for managing operations and staff (30 FTEs) in the Respiratory Care Department, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care delivery. This includes personnel management, clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and fiscal responsibility.

Full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree required, with an emphasis in Respiratory Care.
  • Licensure and Certifications:Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).Active Respiratory Practitioner license from the Virginia Board of Medicine.Active membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC).
  • Experience:3–5 years of management experience with demonstrated leadership competencies.
