OVERVIEW

The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s revenue cycle processes. This includes billing, collections, compliance, and analytics to ensure financial health and efficiency. The role is central to the organization’s growth and requires leadership to manage teams and implement improvements across the revenue cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:7+ years of revenue cycle management experience.At least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in healthcare billing practices, payer regulations, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and financial processes.Familiarity with revenue cycle software, EHR, and analytics tools like Power BI.
  • Other Skills:Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.Team development and motivational expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the revenue cycle team with accountability and performance standards.
  • Oversee billing, QA, authorizations, and credentialing operations.
  • Ensure timely claims submission, manage collections, and optimize accounts receivable.
  • Analyze claim denials and implement strategies to minimize recurrence.
  • Direct compliance with Medicaid regulations and manage audits.
  • Streamline operations by fostering collaboration across finance, clinical, and operations teams.
  • Provide reports on revenue cycle performance and forecasts for strategic planning.
  • Mentor and develop the revenue cycle team, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.
