OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Grants & Communications Manager to join our team and help amplify our mission through strategic communications and effective grants management. This full-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s growth and to work with an international team committed to ending gender-based violence. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, creative, and results-driven communicator and grant strategist.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time, hybrid position with occasional weekend work and some travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven success in grant writing, grants management, and communications, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills, with a strong focus on storytelling and relationship-building.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram), and familiarity with donor management databases.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Passion for social justice and a deep commitment to the org's mission.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Israel and the Jewish philanthropic community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage the Foundation and Grants strategy, identifying new funding opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing donors.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Israel-based leadership to grow revenue streams from foundations, organizations, and family foundations.
  • Lead research and relationship-building to identify aligned priorities and develop strategic funding asks.
  • Oversee the grant process, including preparing and submitting Letters of Intent (LOIs), applications, proposals, reports, and related materials.
  • Work closely with orgs’s Finance consultant to ensure accurate budgets and financials for grant opportunities.
  • Act as the liaison between U.S. and Israel teams, ensuring consistent messaging and storytelling about org’s programs and impact.
  • Steward relationships with institutional partners, including Federations and Foundations.
  • Support special initiatives like the B’nai Mitzvah Program and University Fellowship programs.
  • Collaborate on program development and enhancement to align with organizational goals.
  • Manage all aspects of communications to engage and activate donors, partners, and prospects, including individuals, foundations, and institutional partners.
  • Create and manage a Communications Calendar to plan and execute outreach campaigns.
  • Develop compelling digital and print communications such as appeals, e-newsletters, annual reports, social media content, website updates, and event materials.
  • Prepare messaging, talking points, and speeches for various stakeholders and events.
  • Secure media opportunities to enhance org’s visibility and impact.
