A skilled nursing and senior living group with a focus on patient dignity and quality of life. This 60+ bed skilled nursing facility, along with a 12-bed assisted living unit, is part of an organization operating across three states. The facility is located in a family-oriented Midwest community with outdoor amenities like parks, lakes, rivers, and streams.

OVERVIEW

The Director of Nursing (DON) leads a team of 40–50 nursing employees, supported by an ADON and MDS Nurse. The role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality standards, budget oversight, resource management, and process improvement. The DON also fosters employee engagement and team building, reporting directly to the facility Administrator, who is described as a supportive leader and mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • RN degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong oral and written communication abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading 40–50 nursing employees with support from an ADON and MDS Nurse.
  • Ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to accreditation standards.
  • Overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and process improvement.
  • Driving quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Building employee engagement and fostering teamwork.
