OVERVIEW

The Clinical Nutrition Manager is a newly created role due to departmental growth. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Nutrition, the manager oversees a team of 20+ Registered Dietitians across the main hospital and 7 outpatient ambulatory sites. Responsibilities include staff recruitment and development, performance management, compliance with regulatory standards, implementation of departmental goals, and provision of direct patient care as needed.

WORK SCHEDULE

Hybrid. Two days per week required on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Six years of progressive dietetic experience in pediatric nutrition, including project management and leadership experience.

Experience with ambulatory scheduling and billing is a plus.

Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian.

Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment, training, and development of the Ambulatory Nutrition team.

Managing and motivating a team of 20+ Registered Dietitians.

Developing and implementing departmental goals, policies, and standards of care.

Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, DPH, FDA, CMS).

Conducting competency assessments, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.

Providing direct patient care when needed.
