This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven fundraising professional to make a meaningful impact within a well-established and respected organization in the Jewish philanthropic community.

OVERVIEW

The Senior Development Officer will implement fundraising programs to successfully meet annual, program, and campaign goals. This individual will work within Development on Long Island, specifically in the Five-Towns Jewish communities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of development concepts, be highly ambitious and motivated, and be willing to travel. A deep understanding of Jewish community services is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of major gift fundraising experience, preferably in a volunteer-driven organization.
  • Experience in the Five-Town Jewish Communities is a plus.
  • Proven track record in direct solicitation of donors and prospects, including corporate and family foundations.
  • Experience in building and leading all aspects of Development.
  • Proven success in executing fundraising strategic plans, setting and meeting goals, and managing comprehensive fundraising programs.
  • Expertise in fundraising, special events, networking, and public relations.
  • A deep familiarity with and passion for Jewish philanthropy.
  • Understanding of key issues important to the Jewish community, with experience working with Jewish communal leadership considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with Planned Giving is a plus.
