OVERVIEW

The Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care during cardiovascular procedures. The role includes coordinating patient care plans, executing physician orders, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The nurse will work in a multidisciplinary team setting to optimize patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program

Experience:

Required: Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Critical Care, or Emergency Department setting

Licensure & Certifications:

Required:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligibility for licensureCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide safe and effective patient care during Cath Lab procedures.

Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in coordination with physicians and healthcare teams.

Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and industry best practices.
