OVERVIEW

A premier healthcare facility seeks an experienced Director of Surgical Services to oversee perioperative operations. This role ensures excellence in patient care, operational efficiency, and team leadership within a high-performance surgical environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

California RN license (or ability to obtain).
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience in surgical services.
Union experience preferred.
CNOR and/or CSSM certification preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads Surgical Services, including SPD, OR, Pre-Op, PACU, PAT, Endoscopy, and Anesthesia Technicians.
Manages 150 FTEs and ensures effective execution of 7,000+ annual surgical cases.
Oversees 12+ ORs and 2+ endoscopy suites while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Implements policies to enhance patient safety, quality outcomes, and efficiency.
Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and hospital leadership to optimize workflows.
Manages budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning.
