OVERVIEW

This role presents an opportunity to lead the strategic growth and development of a cardiovascular service line in the Central Valley. Responsible for enhancing cardiovascular care, the position requires expertise in service line development, physician engagement, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration among providers and drive high-quality cardiovascular services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Extensive experience in service line strategy, with preference for cardiovascular expertise.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with physicians.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the cardiovascular service line, including cardiac surgery, cardiology, and vascular surgery.
  • Establish and maintain strong physician relationships to promote collaboration and program alignment.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, increase patient volume, and differentiate services in a competitive market.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives to enhance cardiovascular care and leverage industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the organization's affiliation with a nationally recognized institution.
  • Partner with the cardiac operating room leadership to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Manage a team of nurse practitioners supporting cardiac surgery.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify expansion opportunities and optimize service offerings.
Key Priorities in the First Year
  1. Expand the cardiac surgery program by recruiting additional surgeons and increasing volume.
  2. Strengthen alignment within the cardiology department and identify new recruitment opportunities.
  3. Enhance partnerships with local vascular surgeons to explore growth opportunities.
