OVERVIEW

This leadership role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced emergency services professional to oversee operations at a well-established healthcare facility. As the Director of Emergency Services, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, optimizing department performance, and fostering a culture of excellence within a fast-paced emergency department. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and staff development within a collaborative healthcare setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency services.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Certifications required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations of a 34-bed emergency department that serves an average of 130 patients per day.
  • Lead a team of 45 full-time employees, ensuring staffing efficiency and employee engagement.
  • Identify potential issues affecting patient care and implement effective solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key performance metrics, including patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  • Actively participate in hospital-wide initiatives and committees to advance emergency services.
  • Mentor and coach staff, fostering professional growth and leadership development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate emergency department programs to maintain excellence in patient care.
  • Oversee quality improvement initiatives and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to align emergency services with organizational goals.
  • Support recruitment efforts to attract top talent in emergency healthcare.
