OVERVIEW

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced HIM leader to manage health information systems, regulatory compliance, and data integrity. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensuring effective health information practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in HIM, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
RHIA certification required.
7+ years of HIM experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
5+ years of Epic experience related to HIM.
Strong understanding of privacy regulations and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the HIM department, including staff oversight and budget management.
Ensure accuracy, security, and accessibility of electronic health records (Epic experience required).
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Oversee patient record classification, indexing, and reporting.
Safeguard patient health information and manage privacy inquiries.
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to optimize health information workflows.
Implement quality improvement initiatives in health information processes.
