OVERVIEW

The Southeast Region Development Director is responsible for leading and managing fundraising initiatives in the region, including major gift solicitation, event planning, and donor engagement. The role emphasizes building relationships with high-net-worth individuals, strengthening young leadership, and achieving the organization’s fundraising goals.

WORK SCHEDULE

Flexible full-time or part-time schedule, depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:10+ years of major gift fundraising experience.Proven success in non-profit fundraising.
  • Skills:Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.Self-starter with goal-driven initiative for donor visits and fundraising calls.Ability to work with and motivate donors, board members, and volunteers.Confidence, common sense, and effective listening skills.
  • Other:Commitment to the organization's mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term development strategies.
  • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward high-net-worth individuals.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director on campaigns and donor events.
  • Build regional volunteer leadership and advance young leadership programs.
  • Draft funding proposals and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain donor engagement information using Salesforce.
