OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity for a Structural Engineer with strong experience in working on various bridge and retaining wall projects to join an employee-owned multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm that takes pride in working as a team so that everyone can have a supportive work environment and a positive work/life balance, and they provide a very competitive full compensation package.

Engineers can manage their own time and schedule, with a typical work week of 40-45 hours and half days on Fridays, and options for remote work flexibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for this role include:

BS degree in structural engineering (or related degree that is applicable for this position). Having MS (and PhD) degree is preferred.

PE license. SE is preferred.

20+ years of experience with bridge and structural engineering

AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications experience

Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and coordinate with geotechnical consultants

Successful track record of contributing and leading the charge of business development for projects related to bridge, structural, and transportation engineering

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team on bridge, structural, and transportation related projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include:

Lead and strategize business development in transportation and related structures, especially bridge projects
Provide program management of structures projects
Lead and mentor a team
Geometric layout, structural analysis and seismic analysis for single and multi-span bridges, retaining walls, and existing bridge structures
Prepare structural reports and studies
