OVERVIEW

We are recruiting on behalf of a consulting firm in Tahoe City, CA, for a CAD/Survey Technician with experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and supporting land surveying projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience as a CAD Technician or similar role

Ability to work in the office and the field

Possess an understanding of field survey measurements and data acquisition

Proficiency in CAD drafting

Ability to work closely with a project team

Understanding of the Public Land Survey System, boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, subdivision platting, property descriptions, easement exhibits, rights of way, and utility mapping

Experience with survey database(s), auto-linework and survey figures in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Ability to produce final project documents

Understanding of design plans and producing the data needed for construction layout and staking

Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include processing field data in AutoCAD, interpreting and plotting record deeds and pats for property surveys, preparing surveying plats and drawings, performing stakeout calculations for construction sites, and preparing documents such as topographic maps, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, and as-built surveys.
