Merraine Group is seeking an experienced Forensic Nursing Director to join a dynamic healthcare environment. This leadership role is ideal for a passionate nursing professional with a solid background in psychiatric nursing and union experience. As the Forensic Nursing Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and effective management while leading and mentoring a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Safety: Oversee and ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the forensic nursing unit.
2. Staff Management: Ensure appropriate staffing levels and manage staff performance, holding team members accountable to high standards.
3. Staff Development: Develop and mentor nursing staff to enhance their professional growth and effectiveness in their roles.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
2. Demonstrated experience in psychiatric nursing leadership and union management.
3. Valid nursing license for the state of Rhode Island is required.

Work Schedule

1. 35 hours per week (7 hours per day).
